Focus on the Female 2025

1 March - 1 June 2025
As we celebrate Women’s History Month, Cynthia Corbett Gallery proudly presents Focus on the Female 2025, an all-woman showcase highlighting the diverse and exceptional work of female artists. This year’s exhibition continues the narrative that began in 2021, building on our ongoing commitment to supporting women in the arts.

A Legacy of Empowerment

Since 2021, Focus on the Female has served as a platform for women artists to be seen, heard, and celebrated. It began with the Focus On The Female exhibition at The Exhibitionist Hotel, which brought together the work of 15 talented female artists. This showcase was curated by women, for women, a testament to our belief in the importance of women supporting women in the arts. Works created during lockdown were honoured for their resilience, ingenuity and emotional depth.

The 2021 winners included:
Deborah Azzopardi and Cristina Schek (Lockdown Awards)
Eve De Haan (Honourable Mention)
Rafaela De Ascanio (Emerging Artist Award)
Polina Filippova and Rebecca Harper (Young Masters Highly Commended Awards)
Emilie Taylor, recipient of the overall Focus on the Female Young Masters Award

In 2022, the project continued at the prestigious London Art Fair with Focus On The Female: London Art Fair Edit, expanding the conversation and providing vital support for female artists in the wake of the pandemic. This initiative, powered by Young Masters Art Prize, has always been a pillar of our commitment to female artists, especially during uncertain times.
