Decorated: The Sculptural Ceramics of Ebony Russell: 99 Bishopsgate and 30 Fenchurch St, London

We are thrilled to share exciting news from Cynthia Corbett Gallery. Following a nearly sold-out presentation at this year’s Collect Art Fair, we are proud to celebrate a major milestone for both the gallery and our exceptional artist, Ebony Russell.

Decorated: The Sculptural Ceramics of Ebony Russell, a solo exhibition presented by Brookfield Properties, in collaboration with the Crafts Council UK and Cynthia Corbett Gallery, is set to open 19th May 2025. As the winner of the 2025 Brookfield Properties Craft Award, Ebony is the first international artist to receive this prestigious honour. She was selected for her radical reinterpretation of one of the leading names in UK crafts – Wedgwood. Her sculptures offer a reimagining of Wedgwood’s famos ceramics, challenging the relationship between aesthetics and form.

This is a landmark achievement for Cynthia Corbett Gallery: we are the first fine art gallery to have two of our artists receive the Brookfield Properties Craft Award. In 2020, Matt Smith was the inaugural recipient; and now in 2025, we are immensely proud that Ebony Russell continues our tradition of championing award-winning talent.

Curated by Samantha Williams, Director of Arts and Events at Brookfield Properties UK, Ebony’s exhibition will be on view at two of Brookfield’s iconic London venues: 99 Bishopsgate and 30 Fenchurch Street.
