Young Masters Art Exhibition

10 October 2022 - 10 January 2023
  • Cynthia Corbett Gallery is proud to announce a major comeback of the Gallery and its not-for-profit international art initiative Young Masters Art Prize to South Kensington, where the Prize was started in 2009. The Gallery will be in residence in the quirky and eclectic The Exhibitionist Hotel (8-10 Queensberry Place, South Kensington, London, SW7 2EA) and The Gainsborough Hotel (7-11 Queensberry Pl, South Kensington, London SW7 2DL) from 10 October 2022 until 10 January 2023. This is an initiative in collaboration with Vestalia Chilton, curator of The Exhibitionist and Director of Kensington + Chelsea Festival, Kensington.

  • The Exhibition co-curated by director Cynthia Corbett and curator Daisy McMullan is focused on new work that responds to the Young Masters theme of celebrating innovation and skill in response to the art of the past. The artists included come from across the world offering a variety of perspectives on the wider, global canon of past masters. Much of the work addresses urgent themes such as climate change, gender identity and creativity from a post-Covid perspective.

  • This eclectic exhibition comprises work in a range of media, including painting, photography, ceramics, collage and digital. It is a fresh new look at the Young Masters theme, in a world that is changing faster and more drastically than ever before.
