Crystal is a mother of one who suffered from complications and birth trauma during the end of her pregnancy and postpartum. As a result of preeclampsia complications, her son Dylan was born prematurely and had to recover in the NICU immediately after an emergency c-section. Using her personal narrative, she participates in this project to create awareness and help educate and empower other Black mothers.
