LA Art Show News

We are excited to announce our first appearance at The LA Art Show, a prestigious international art exhibition that was initially conceived by the Fine Art Dealers Association. This remarkable event is an annual highlight in Los Angeles, set to run from February 14 - 18 2024, and has become an integral part of the city's vibrant Arts Month celebration.

"Also joining us is Cynthia Corbett Gallery. The London-based contemporary gallery was established in 2004 by American former economist, art historian and curator Cynthia Valianti Corbett. An international nomadic art gallery representing emerging and established contemporary artists, Cynthia Corbett has a broad exhibition program including international art fairs and collaborative projects worldwide. The gallery’s represented and guest artists come from British, American and international backgrounds.

For its upcoming exhibition at the LA Art Show, the gallery will present work by artists Andy Burgess, Deborah Azzopardi, Isabelle van Zeij and Klari Reis. Today, we focus on the work of Klari Reis, an American artist who lives and works in San Francisco. The artist’s work is characterized by an almost unworldly sense of design, unique colors and inventive patterns. Reis has invented her own medium, using epoxy polymer (a form of liquid plastic) combined with pure pigment, acrylic and several secret ingredients. Her artwork is both object and fine art, and she is at the forefront of innovative use of art resources.

The artist’s new works are imaginative recreations and curious playful inquiries into our place in the world. Reis proposes new ways of seeing and understanding our natural environment through painting and sculpture, testing the boundaries of logical systems. By considering the contradictory implications of the word natural, and exploring relationships between the human and non-human, Reis embraces possibility through work that is joyful and hopeful.
