Cynthia Corbett Gallery is delighted to present Moon Landing, the acclaimed collaborative installation by textile artist Margo Selby and composer Helen Caddick, now on view at Saatchi Gallery as part of the major exhibition The Sun and The Moon: Art Inspired by the Celestial.

Originally debuted by Cynthia Corbett Gallery at Collect 2024 at Somerset House, in celebration of both the 20th anniversary of Collect and the Gallery's 20th anniversary, Moon Landing marked Margo Selby's first site-specific installation. We are proud to see the work continue its journey within one of London's most ambitious exhibitions of 2026.

Occupying two floors of Saatchi Gallery and spanning nine exhibition spaces, The Sun and The Moon explores how the celestial bodies that shape our days and nights have inspired creativity, curiosity and belief across cultures and throughout history. The exhibition unfolds as a journey through a complete 24-hour cycle, from dawn to daylight and into the depths of night.

Moon Landing is featured at the heart of the exhibition's Walking on the Moon chapter, which examines the cultural impact of the Apollo missions and the lesser-known stories behind space exploration. The work draws inspiration from the remarkable women whose weaving skills and ability to visualise complex patterns contributed to the integrated circuits and memory cores used in NASA's Apollo Guidance Computer, helping make the 1969 Moon landing possible.

The immersive installation brings together a monumental 16-metre handwoven textile by Margo Selby and an original musical composition for strings by Helen Caddick. Through colour, rhythm, mathematics and pattern, the work celebrates the shared languages of weaving and music, while honouring the ingenuity, craftsmanship and technical expertise of the women whose contributions have often remained overlooked.

Today, as contemporary society is increasingly shaped by interconnected technologies and invisible networks of information, Moon Landing offers a compelling reflection on the relationship between craft, computation and human ingenuity, revealing how the principles of weaving helped lay foundations for the digital age.
