| Artissima is pleased to announce
the names of the 10 young artists (under 40), whose projects, conceived
expressly for the 2005 edition of the Present Future section, were selected
by the International Board of curators among all those presented by their
representing galleries. The artists' projects will be exhibited by the galleries in special "solo" booths. Artists & Art galleries Ozmo & Abbominevole - 1000 Eventi, Milan Christina Benz - The Cynthia Corbett Gallery, Wimbledon Michael Beutler - FRANCOSOFFIANTINO, Turin David Casini - Analix Forever, Geneva Jeremy Deller - Art : Concept, Paris Amie Dicke - Diana Stigter, Amsterdam Christoph Draeger - Magnus M¸ller, Berlin Igor Eskinja - Federico Luger, Milan Dirk Heerklotz - B¸ro F¸r Kunst, Dresden Niamh O'Malley - Green On Red, Dublin The members of the Board responsible for the Present Future selection are: Patrick Charpenel, Critic and independent Curator, Guadalajara Emma Dexter, Curator Tate Modern, London Massimiliano Gioni, Director Fondazione Trussardi, Milan / Curator Berlin Biennial Heike Munder, Director Migros Museum F¾r Gegenwartskunst, Zurich Rochelle Steiner, Chief Curator Serpentine Gallery, London From this year on the Board of curators will be asked as well to choose, during the Fair, the most significat project among all the Present Future proposals. The selected artist will be awarded by illy, partner of this initiative, a Prize of $10.000 and will be given the opportunity to present a project for the "illycollection" artists' cups. Artissima |
