Cynthia Corbett projects is presenting a special exhibition to celebrate Wimbledon Fortnight from 24 June - 9th July at the former Churzee Gallery on Church Road in Wimbledon (minutes from the All England Tennis Club ). Couloumy & Friends, is an exhibition of three highly-acclaimed contemporary French artists, Anne-Francoise Couloumy, Philippe Vasseur and Pietropoli, all based in Paris and represented in the UK exclusively by The Cynthia Corbett Gallery. Anne-Francoise Couloumy has had two previous sell-out shows in London. Couloumy is hailed by the French press as a modern-day Vermeer and collected by such important cultural figures in France as Eric Emmanuel Schmidt. Philippe Vasseur paints both people and urban landscapes with a palette that evokes the Mediterranean and has an air of mysterious sensuality. Pietropoli also paints urban landscapes but with architectural classical precision and his fresco-like paintings of people are nearly all luscious nude women.
